2026 Discovery Trip

Join the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC for its Discovery Trip, taking place October 4–7, 2026, in Huntsville, one of the nation’s fastest-growing hubs for aerospace, defense, and innovation.

Each year, the Chamber & EDC brings business and civic leaders from the Pikes Peak region to a peer U.S. city to better understand how comparable communities are addressing growth, workforce development, infrastructure, and industry alignment. These trips are designed as immersive learning experiences, providing insight into best practices that can be applied back in Colorado Springs.

The 2026 Discovery Trip to Huntsville will focus on defense and aerospace collaboration, workforce and talent pipelines, urban redevelopment, and public-private partnerships. Programming will include engagement with civic leadership, tours of nationally significant assets such as Redstone Arsenal and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and discussions centered on how Huntsville has positioned itself as a “city on the rise.”

Participants will also explore Huntsville’s walkable urban core, innovation ecosystem, and revitalization efforts, along with education and workforce models that support long-term industry growth. The trip will include curated receptions and networking opportunities to foster meaningful relationship-building between Colorado Springs and Huntsville leaders.

Please note that your registration does not include your flight reservation or hotel accommodations; however, a hotel room block will be arranged and details will be shared once confirmed. Upon registering for this year's Discovery Trip please make sure to check your email (check spam folder as well), you will receive a confirmation email with further details about hotel booking, and important dates and times to help you schedule appropriate flights.

CSCEDC Cancellation Policy: Due to event deposits and planning, cancellations must be made within 30 days of registration to be refunded. We will allow substitutions, but you will be responsible for communicating with the hotel to ensure they can accommodate you. Registrations made after Aug. 2, cannot be canceled or refunded.
